Ever knock on wood, carry an amulet, avoid walking under a ladder, avoid stepping on a sidewalk crack? Are you superstitious? Why?

I wore tilak for a time and carried prayer beads. I suppose these are amulets of a sort.  Not walking under a ladder is a reasonable and safe practice.  If someone working on that ladder drops a hammer it is going to fall in the direction of underneath the ladder.  By walking in front of the laddr one avoids potential bops.

Yes I am superstitious, to a certain degree.  Why?  I don't know I just am.  Better to play it safe.
