It would not surprise me if Trump set it up so he could milk it for all its worth and spread a bit of hate (it was Biden/Harris and the lunatic left that planed it because they know it is the only way they can win the election). They arrested the guy so we will probably be hearing what happened soon. Cheers!

Apparently, this fellow was a Haley supporter, so he may be a Republican.  That would make two.

Another crazy antiTrumper.  At least this time it appears.the SS and local officers did their jobs properly.

    No not a false flag.

He is not a Rep. He donated to Dems. He has posts going on about "Saving Democracy" and "Democracy is on the ballot."  A bunch of stuff on Urkaine. He wrote a book about Ukraine,  in which he tells Iran to kill Trump.    He has a Biden Harris bumper sticker on his truck.

Nope not a Republican.   This post was edited by my2cents at September 16, 2024 7:00 AM MDT

If I'm a registered Democrat and donate to a Republican candidate does that make me a Republican?  NO, IT DOES NOT.

A search on line indicates  that "According to public voter records at the North Carolina State Board of Elections, Routh was registered as an unaffiliated voter without a party in Guilford County in 2012."  In 2016, he voted for Trump.

In North Carolina, unaffiliated voters can vote in either party's primary.

Many people in closed primary states register with the opposite party.  So yes if I a registered Rep donates to Dems....it means they are a Dem.   If I lived in my home state of IL, I would be a registered Dem because the Dem primary is when my vote would matter the most. In the general the state is going blue. So while I may be registered as a Dem, and voting in the Dem primary,  I would not be donating to them.

Republicans do not donate to Democrats.  And vice versa.

You do not know who a person votes for that is not part of our voting record.
Republicans do not voice support Democrat Governors.
Republicans do not put Biden/Harris bumper stickers on their vehicles.   They do not go on about another Republican being a threat to democracy.   Nor do that write books telling other countries to kill another Republican.     Even if they claim to be, actions speak much louder than words.  And this nut is not a Republican.

Merely contributing to a party does not automatically make you a registered voter in that party  Did they teach you that at Trump University?

No, he is an UNAFFILIATED voter.  Do you know what "unaffiliated" means?  It means he hasn't registered with any party.  You're talking about a closed primary and my comment related to an open or semi-open primary.  Stick to the subject or don't bother to reply to me. If you want to get your opinion across on some other aspect, start your own comment - don't make it a reply to mine.

Is there nothing you won't start an argument about?  The reason you're arguing is that you don't understand what is being written.

Going to ignore the rude comment.

He donated to Tulsi Gabbard (she was a Dem while in office),  Elizabeth Warren and Andrew Yang....(these people are lefties or at least were while in office) and CLAIMS to have voted for Trump.

Yes. He registered (or re-registered) in NC in 11/2/2012. (Unaffiliated) in an open primary state.
    This is his voting record:

Two Local elections in 2009 both in-person day of
    General election 2012 early voting
2016....NO VOTING Record in either the primary or the General..how did he vote for Trump???
2020...NO VOTING Record in either the primary or the General..how did he vote for Trump???
Mar 2024 Votes in-person day of the PRIMARY...he voted in the DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY

As far as assassinations go - he isn’t “another” crazy antiTrumper – he is “a” crazy antiTrumper. The first shooter was planing on assassinating Biden and Trump but it happened that Trump was in his area so he went for Trump first. Both of them were republicans (for most of their life's) but yet Trump claimed the first assassination attempt was a democratic plot to keep him out of office and you can bet he will do the same this time. Cheers!

Crooks was a Rep for most of his life??? He was barely out of high school...

This is at bare minimum another antiTrumper.  And his actions prove he is on the left.

And yes, assassination attempts are absolutely attempts to keep Trump out of office. That is kind of the whole purpose.   This post was edited by my2cents at September 16, 2024 8:25 AM MDT

I don't have enough information to make any kind of determination.

I am now starting to think that it was an actual assassination attempt. If it was planed – the guy would probably be dead (dead men tell no tales). During the debate Trump said he almost took a bullet in the head because of the democrats – and I’m sure he will claim the same stuff this time. Cheers!

This morning Trump posted that it was the things Harris and Biden said that caused the gunman to act on Sunday. He doesn't know that - nobody realy knows that yet. But to spread hate that might win him the election he says it anyway. Cheers!

Yep and spur of the moment decision on Trump's part to go golfing that day.  How did the shooter know Trump would be there?  And why was MSNBC there live filming Trump golfing?
