A few. It's our generation. I've always loved Leonard Cohen's songs and still love to sing them. Haunting. Now I want to buy his novels and poetry - why did I never think of that before? Why do we grasp more for something after it's gone?
What can you do? It's part of life and it happens every year. Pete Seeger died in 2014 and IMO, he overshadowed just about any musician who's died since.
What???Better than Lemmy!! Never... just teasing we all have our favourites.. Pete Seeger I dont know.. I will go check him out.. but I am still going to vote for Lemmy with Cohen a very, very close second albeit totally different genre.
Pete Seeger mainstream? Are you sure you know who he was? In the 1950s, he was a member of the Weavers, of which several of its members were blacklisted during the McCarthy era. In the 1960s, he was a prominent singer of protest music in support of international disarmament, civil rights, counterculture, and environmental causes.
He was as opposite of mainstream as it gets. Read up and learn here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Seeger
