    Need facts.  If the car gets repaired, I pick it up and they tell me what they had to do.  That usually gets no proof but the receipt will prove you had the repairs done.  Can't really discuss without knowing some details about whatever you are talking about.     Need context.  If you brought your car in to repair a flat tire, I would assume you would look to make sure it wasn't still flat when you picked it up.
