Did you hear what the little guy from Shawinigan Falls had to say about Trump’s tariff threats?

Canada’s former prime minister Jean Chretien had this to say about Trump’s tariff threats. And I agree with him.

Donald Trump is likely to walk back his threat of punishing tariffs and the resulting trade war with Canada, because the Americans are too reliant on a number of Canadian exports, namely in the energy sector

"He's apparently said this morning that he does not need our electricity. Fine," Chrétien said in an exclusive broadcast interview with CTV Question Period, airing Sunday. "If he wants us to cut off electricity, he would have to walk up the Trump Tower with candles to go to his office, because the state of New York relies a lot on electricity coming from Canada."

    Trump may soon discover that the comments/threats emanating from his lowest porthole are meaningless.

    I think a lot of his supporters will soon be discovering the same thing. Moments after his hush money sentence he whined about how unfairly he was treated while begging for donations and I think people are getting tired of that. Cheers and happy weekend!

    Unfortunately, those of us who didn't vote for him will have to suffer the consequences resulting from those who did.  I don't really care if they suffer, but the rest of us shouldn't have to.
