A crime occurs. It involves a perp and a vic. With whom do you identify? Why?

Once again the perp is defended and the vic is either attacked or ignored. I don't understand those who automatically side with the bad guys and revile victims. Do you?

Well, I was called up for jury duty last year. However, the defending attorney dismissed me because I had been a victim of a similar crime as the one being tried.

I think that's awful! You experienced something and would know what it feels like to go through it. So the attorney dismisses you because of that? How is that not stacking the deck on behalf of the  perp? I think that is not a fair thing to do. I understand that it is the job of the defending attorney to get his client off. I'm gonna ask a question about that bh. It is very troubling to me. I mean I've been called to jury duty but it never got as far as actually picking the jury.  For whatever reason. I've seen it in the movies. The attorneys get to eliminate a certain number of people whom they think won't be friendly to their cause. Do you think it was fair that you were dismissed? I dunno. Thank you for this reply. I appreciate it. Happy Sunday! :)

I'm not sure you understand me----- I had been, several times over the years, the victim of theft including 2 burglaries and other losses. The attorney defending the perp decided I might be too biased to be on the jury in this case, so he dismissed me. I am never on the side of a perp, unless it is Robin Hood, perhaps. Hello Rosie:

It's NOT quite as black and white as you portray..

I smoked some dope.  Got arrested.  Was called a perp.  Charged and convicted of a crime like I was a perp.  Some people STILL think I'm a perp.

But, I'm not a perp.  In fact, the opposite is true.  If perp means somebody who PERPETRATED a WRONG on somebody, then SOCIETY perpetrated a wrong on ME, the vic..

Are you ever going to let go of the wrong done you excon? That is really heavy baggage my friend.  You bring it up all the time. How long ago was that?  You say you are thought of as a perp. Not by me. I'm the one asking the question not the brand x usual suspect "lock her up" dumbheads. This is what I had in mind.  An unarmed young black man is shot to death. The cop says "I feared by my life". When I ask questions about the evilness of that more often than not I hear from folks who DEFEND THE PERP! The VIC is dead  and cannot defend himself. The PERP defenders say the  cop was justified. The dead  young black man brought it on himself. What was he doing there? Why didn't he do what the cop told him to do? Which is bullsh** since  the DEAD VIC is often on tape doing exactly what the COP PERP tells him to do and he is murdered anyway. What about the 12-year-old young black kid with a waterpistol who was killed a few seconds after the PERP COP got out of the car? The PERP DEFENDERS said the boy should not have had a water pistol.  How many dead young black men who were unarmed have there been in the last couple of years? Those are the ones we know about because someone had the presence of mind to take pictures on a cell phone. Some come complete with audio but it don't make no never mind. The DEAD VIC was the bad guy and the  ALIVE SCAIRDY CAT RACIST COP was the person who was wronged Tell me how in the he** that makes any sense to you? It makes as much sense as there being a PET which means there is no sense to it. I guess I beat that dead horse. Thank you for reply  and Happy Sunday.

    Hello again, Rosie:

As long as you continue to paint "perps" with a negative brush, I'll be here to tell you WHO the REAL perps are..
