One can read a list of 100 facts to a trump supporter, but none will be believed.

Some people choose what to believe first and then look for what appears to be evidence. (Confirmation bias). Others of us look at facts and the base our beliefs on what is true and proven.

Kind of like how everyone on the right knew Biden had dementia before the election in 2020. But no one on the left knew until the debate and some still did not.

    Trump is functioning fine.
New trade deals, new business investors in the US, new secure border, permanent tax cuts coming, no lids placed on the WH in the middle of the day, press access to the POTUS  etc.

Do we not have new trade deals? Is our border not secure? Are there not new business investors in the US? Are there peace deals being signed and negotiated? Is Trump available to the press?  And did all this happen because of Trump being President?

All of that did not happen under Biden....in fact the opposite was caused by Biden and whoever was telling him what to do. This post was edited by my2cents at May 17, 2025 5:58 AM MDT

"The White House heralded $2 trillion in investments secured by President Donald Trump this week during his Middle East trip, but a new analysis found that at least a half dozen of those contracts were announced before he took office in January.

The administration released daily lists of the agreements reached by “the dealmaker in chief" during his visits to Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, but the Washington Post reviewed those contracts and found several of them had been announced while Joe Biden was president.

In Doha, the administration announced $8.5 billion in projects involving the Texas energy company McDermott, including one focused on Qatar’s liquefied natural gas expansion," the Post reported, noting those contracts were announced in 2023 and 2024.

When Trump was in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, the White House announced $200 billion in 'new' commercial deals with the UAE," the report added. "Much of the corporate funding came from a cloud computing deal between Amazon and UAE state-owned telecommunications company e&, which the White House claimed would contribute $181 billion for the local economy by 2033. But Amazon had already announced that contract in October, and the company had only committed about $1 billion over six years."

Who is talking about this Middle East trip right now.  It Will likely also benefit the US.

We recently made a deal with UK.  They will reduce their tariff to 1.x% and open their markets and US keeps our 10% tariff.

There are also many companies moving their production to US to avoid tariffs as well.

    https://www.reuters.com/business/companies-eye-us-expansion-lessen-fallout-potential-tariffs-2025-01-29/

Trump signed the favored nation EO that will required big pharma to charge US customers the same or less than other countries for scripts.

These are wins for America and are because Trump is a fully functioning President who is brave enough to put America first.

The three coutries Trump visited all have very strong ties to China.  Making deals with them to keep tariffs low encourages China to ship their merhandise to the US via the Middle East to avoid the high tariffs.  That is not a win for the US.  Also, taking a gift of a jet plane from Qatar is a national seurity issue.  It will take millions of dollars to retrofit it to Air Force One standards and, even then, there is no way of knowing what electroni surveillance will remain.  Qatar has been trying to unload this jet since 2020 because it is enormously ecpensive to maintain.  This plane, of which the Qatari government owns three, has been phased out of air fleets across the world for the last decade due to its unreasonable gas guzzling and the security risk that its ginormous size presents.

Big Pharma is not bound by Trump's executive orders.

The executive order set a 30-day deadline for the U.S. trade representative and the Department of Commerce to give drugmakers price targets set by the Department of Health and Human Services.

If drugmakers do not lower prices within six months, the health secretary will impose lower prices through rulemaking, the White House said.

The executive order doesn’t change drug prices; it puts regulatory hurdles in the way of drug makers who don’t cut their costs. For most Americans, though, prescription prices are set by their health insurance companies.

There is nothing "fully funcitoning" about Trump.  He is in the throes of dementia.  If you don't think so, listen to some of the speech he gave in the Middle East where he "wove" everything but the kitchen sink into his speech.  He's more concerned with Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift than he is with running the country.  He's an embarrassment to this country and the humanity.

May be an image of aircraft and text that says 'Did anyone see C-Span or the National News Thursday night? The 747-8 Luxury jet has been for sale since 2020. It's 13 years old. Qatar Royal Prince has been trying to sell it for $250M the past 5 years. The upkeep is tremendous and they can't afford to keep it. So....they So.... they decided to give it to Trump and tell him the value was $400M. Trump fell for it

Again, I am not talking about any country in the middle east investing because of this trip.

US companies are not bound by American EOs??? Really that is news to me.  EOs are laws signed by the POTUS.  And yes that is the method they will use to enforce it.

13yr old is still newer than what we have now. BUSH flew on them. They were first in service in 1987.  And yes upkeep is expensive.  And we are paying neither $250M nor $400M, we are paying $0.00

Apparently, you aren't up to date on Trump's Middle East visit.  He claim to have made a number of deals with those three countries.

EOs are NOT law.  Only Congress can do that.

I guess you think spending hundreds of millions retrofitting a plane that will not be ready until after the Boeings are is a good way to spend taxpayer money.  So taxpayers will foot the bill for that, then it will become part of Trump's personal library for his peronal use thereafter.  The upkeep is so expensive the Qataris can afford to keep it so they'll give it to Trump and the problem is off their hands.  No wonder Trump went bankrupt so many times.

Maybe yoiu should read my posts in their entirety rather than cherry-picking only those parts that you like.

Again, I am not talking about deals during this trip that may or may not come to pass. I am talking about deals and investments already happening.

EOs are instructions for how the executive branch will enforce the laws. EO will be enforced  by Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and the Department of Commerce through regulatory rules. (May not laws, but the fines etc that companies endure because of them will not matter whether it is a law or an direction from the POTUS)

And for the record YOU came onto MY post not the other way around.

Are you talking about deals that were made during the Biden administration?  Apparently you didn't read my earlier comment about those deals for which Trump is attempting to take credit.

Facts are completely useless to someone so deeply indoctrinated they can’t even recognise when they’re being spoon-fed complete nonsense. Understanding the nuances of reality requires the ability to be educated beyond primary school level, some curiosity, and an effort to reach out to people who exist beyond the comfort zone of the echo chamber you’ve grown up in. But why bother thinking critically when it’s easier to parrot opinions of another echo chamber dweller, but one who has the technical ability to produce Youtube videos and memes. Indoctrination breeds ignorance, and confirmation bias makes sure it sticks.
