    Sure.
    And I'm a "good" driver.

And my favorite The Cars' song is "Drive."

No, I do not. But that is mostly because I live in a busy area.

No!!!  I don't know why, but driving makes me very anxious and I (unconsciously) stiffen up - even when there's no other traffic on the road.

I do, especially when there isn't bumper-to-bumper traffic in front of me.  Now that I live in a more rural area, driving is much different than it was in the City.  Here, there are narrow, winding roads which takes some getting used to.  I have reached the age where driving at night is troublesome because of oncoming headlights, so I don't drive at night now.

I find that nocturnal problem too, although I still drive at night when necessary. It has become far worse by car makers fitting headlamps with far greater intensities than hitherto, so the oncoming ones reduce your own vision at at least a mile away, and can be dazzling at half a mile.

(Too many cyclists think it clever either to remove their cycle's lamps, illegally, or to use high-intensity ones at motorists' eye-levels, and these can be worse because they tend to weave from side to side.)

When I lived in New York, it wasn't as much of a problem because molst all the highways and roadways are lit which diffuses some of the hedlights of oncoming cars, but down here, there are virtually no lights on the roads.  My sister lives about 7 miles from where I live and the first time I had to drive home from her house at night it was white-knuckle all the way.

I like to drive but it would be nice to be driven around every once in a while, for a change.

Not really...It is just another chore. I can't right now due to recent surgery. This post was edited by Element 99 at May 27, 2025 11:16 PM MDT

Not especially. It is a necessity.

For purely local, mundane journeys like shopping or attending some event I usually use buses. I have used trains for longer journeys but need consider how I move around my destination area.

Sometimes I do enjoy a long journey if in good conditions, light traffic and through scenic areas, but I don't wish a long haul on busy motorways on anyone. Even though I avoid using the service areas for anything more than the toilets - I take food and drink with me, and try to buy fuel from the significantly cheaper, off-motorway garages.

Yes; I always have.  Even before I was old enough to be licensed.  Car, trucks, and boats.  I wanted to drive a tractor but never got the chance.
