What part of your dental cleaning and exam do you find the most unpleasant?

I don't mind the process, it's paying £160 for a 20 min appointment that's unpleasant

Paying the bill (it increases every time I go).  I used to hate polishing.  However, over the years I've disciplined myself to be totally relaxed at the dentist.  

Scaling

If scaling is like 'scraping' with a fine-pointed 'pricker' to take off 'whatever' off every surface of every tooth --  it'd be that.  :)

The random possibility of a sudden, nervy pain at any time can be a bit uneasy for me.

The bill.

 

  My front teeth have always been very sensitive to cold (for example, I can never bite into an ice cream cone the way some people can, just watching someone do it makes me cringe), so at the dentist when they use the rinse with that freezing cold water, it drives me crazy.
