    Yess! I love, love, love this movie for scaring me SO much when I first saw it at the age of 12 years-old-or-so -- it still frightens me (not the later remake version). I highly recommend this movie to anyone who has not seen it!

    And you caught me, ha --  after posting this question, I knew I had earlier posted the same question with a very-similar scene image.  :)

    And this movie introduced me to author John Wyndham. A day or two after first seeing the movie, I went to the library to find and read his "The Midwich Cuckoos,"  the book upon which this movie is based. Superlative, too! I've since read every book Wyndham wrote and they're all great!
