So has skewered perception of women led to many failed relationships (Implies his understanding of women was fundamentally flawed: But why?

Is it his fault or society's? What's wrong?

Each relationship failure has its own reasons.

Commonly poor communication and bad actions of one or both parties.

It is subjective.  I know men who will never be in a successful and happy relationship, not because the woman doesn't understand him or want to make him happy, but because in his mind he is perfect.    I'll fall back on Freud on this and say "It's his mother's fault."

There are also some people (men and women) who are simply unable to form relationships (no matter how much they try).  It's not their parent's fault, rather it's a psychological disorder.

Inability to form relationships is less common than being able to sustain a happy, peaceful, and content state of being with another human.

I think part of the problem (for both men and women) is that they expect the other person to make them happy.  If you aren't happy with yourself, no one is going to make you happy.

You can say that about both sexes.  Many women are generally clueless when it comes to men, especially regarding their sex drive, sports, men time, their need for space or quiet, alone time.

Take me for example; I want someone who will be at my side more than not.

No, Ozzy Osbourne initially thought the bat thrown on stage was a rubber toy, not a live animal. He later realized it was a real bat when he bit into it.

Ozzy Osbourne & the Bat Incident - The Story You Didn't Know

In his own words, he described the incident in his 2020 documentary, "The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne," saying he "thought it was a rubber bat". He later explained that he picked it up, bit into it, and then realized it was real when he saw his wife Sharon's reaction. The bat was thrown by a fan, Mark Neal, who had apparently found the bat (reportedly dead) and brought it to the concert. Neal himself stated that he believed the bat was dead.
