Or a question CosmicWunderkind asked? I know I answered a similar question he posted.

The issues I have with this poll are that it is from a right-leaning source, we don't know how it was conducted (probably online which skews results),or how the questions were phrased. The 'policies ' listed are not really policies because they don't include the methods that will be used to implement them.

We can all agree on many goals for the country and still disagree on how to get there.

In my opinion polls like this are designed to further divide the country and imply that Democrat politicians are the enemy because they don't want what most citizens want, which is patently false.

    Harvard Harris is right wing???

Media Bias/Fact Check rates The Harris Poll as "Right-Center Biased" based on a slight rightward skew in its polling data, while still considering it "Mostly Factual".

Not policies because they do not take into account methods. Ok.

If the Dem politicians are wanting the same thing just a different method  then it would not make the Dem look bad if they agree with the goal....

So according to this poll Most Americans agree with Trumps goals then....is that somehow a better wording?

Personally, I do not see the Dem politicians agreeing with many these "goals" and are/have actively fighting against them.
What "goals" listed in the Harvard Harris poll in the question do Dem politicians agree? This post was edited by my2cents at October 14, 2025 6:38 AM MDT

I said right leaning, which is the same thing you said. I did not say right wing.

I am not going off on a tangent by going through this list. I'm not even sure what you're objecting to. This list is so broad and general, not knowing how the questions were asked makes it impossible to know what was being agreed to.

I was going to pick an example, but I just don't have the energy, time, or interest in debating.

I think both parties want a safe, prosperous, and peaceful nation. But party polices take different approaches to achieving that.

The most listed goals/issues/policies are really not general. (Maybe 3 are (lower medication prices, get rid of fraud and closing border) but rest listed are very specific)

Deport legal immigrants who commit crimes. Supported by 78% of the country.  This is very specific and our Dem politicians absolutely oppose this.

Another specific listed: Banning biological men/boys from female sports 65% Support. Absolutely opposed by Dem politicians.

Clearly, you do not know where Democrats stand and MAGA media isn't going to tell you. I meant it when I said I don't have the energy, time, or interest to debate this.

Dem politicians are not fighting to keep criminals from being deported?
And Dem politicians are not fighting to allow biological males (trans women) to participate in female sports?

    They are on both counts.

Since my last comment was removed. Let me just say this even though, I stand by my previous response.
Democrats do not oppose deporting criminals. They oppose deporting anyone without their Constitutional right to due process,

Democrats do not believe there should be a national ban regarding transgender participation in sports rather than having this decided by the state.

Again, not interested in debating, especially when the debate is not fact based.

If this comment is removed, I will remove original post rather than let misinformation stand.

Immigration court is due process. No one is deported without an order from a Immigration judge.

So Dem politicians are all about state's rights?  Must just be on this issue....In any case on the males in female sports/locket rooms etc it is an 65% issue with Americans opposing it being allowed nationwide.

    The proposal is poorly worded:

"Banning men who have undergone operations and hormones to become women from competing in girls' sports"

Obviously, adults of either sex or gender shouldn't be allowed to compete in children's sports.

You'd probably get majority in support even if it were reworded so as to be neutral, but possibly not as high as 65%.
