Got a new nickname for Donald J Trump?

I think “Mama Cass” would be a good one. Because in one of the Mamas and Papas songs they say – and no one is getting fat except Mama Cass.

A lot of people in America are going hungry but Trump’s not going hungry so I think Mama Cass is a good name for him. Cheers!

    Republicans do not have the votes to open the government.   5 Dems have to vote to open the government.    Trump is not a  king and cannot do it unilaterally.  

    This is the Dem shutdown and they are using the American people who rely on the safety net of SNAP as leverage.

    What reality do you live in?  I have had my SNAP cut off and my insurance canceled - all thanks to the CURRENT administration (that means no food or medication for me, as I can barely afford one let alone both!).  Since trump is "head" of the administration, HE gets the blame!  He's making a palace out of the White House (a mockery) while the people he's supposed to SERVE suffer.

    Tell your Senators to vote pass the Continuing Resolution and open the gov so these things are funded.   Republicans do not have the votes to pass it...the need 5 Dem Senators to vote with them to fund the government.   Again, as the protesters  said President Trump is not a king, he does not have the authority to just open the government.   

    So call Schift and call Padilla and tell them to fund the government.  This is the number: 202-224-3121

    Reality check - It is the Republicans who are at fault here.  They are blind to the kind of "leader" (and I use that word loosely here) they are following.   trump is NOT a republican - never has been! he is a charlatan who is uses republican "talk" to get his way (he wants attention and to be adored).    It amazes me that any of them have finally woke up to this fact.

    Check the votes. 

    Republicans are voting to open and fund the government.  And it is the Democrats vote to keep it shut down and unfunded. 

    The House passed their bill.  (House Republicans by the way) and all but one Rep Senator has voted 15 times to open and fund the government.   So IF you want SNAP and Medicaid funded, call your Dem Senators and tell them to vote to open the gov.  

    And I agree Trump is not a Republican, he is MAGA and that is better than any of the spineless Republicans of the past.   If he is all just talk, Dems would not hate him as much as they do. This post was edited by my2cents at November 4, 2025 3:41 PM MST
