When you're in group and someone drops one of those large metal water bottles on the floor, do you jump; startled?

I find the noise very irritating and annoying. And people around me seem to drop them a lot. Or accidentally knock them over with their feet when we're all sitting in a music rehearsal/whatever and they have their bottles on the floor. Just knocking the bottles over when the bottles are already on the floor makes a HUGE noise.
Maybe they're wanting to see my reaction. Grrrr.

I don't sit in groups very often and don't remember ever having a start by a water bottle drop.  I always have water with me but not in stainless steel.  I have had stainless coffee travel mugs but never dropped one.  I'm sure an empty one dropped on a hard floor would be loud.

When I had posted question, I had come off two long music rehearsals over two evenings and several people had the big metal water bottles. And two bottles (even with water in them), sitting on floor beside individuals, were knocked over at some point. My startle reaction was strong.

But you and my2cents cleared my thoughts with your answers --  though unclear in my posted question, my point in posting question was:  Those bottles knocked over, or dropped on a hard floor, make a HUGE noise. Amazing to me that those bottles are so loud. :)

I would imagine any sudden loud noise  would be startling,  regardless of a group setting or alone.

After replying to Thriftymaid's answer, I realize that reply can fit for you, too. :)

[Unrelated: And last week, I was making a meal and it wasn't until I was ready to add it, that I realized I had no tuna. ;) ]

    Sad.
Leftover chicken or turkey is also good.

In this scenario, how close am I to the sandwiches, and has the room already been carefully scanned to ensure the absence of avocados? (I need all of this visualization in order to answer properly. Grrrrr.)
