Did you know that people in the many centuries prior thought the same thing?  Yet people keep on having children, knowing that they will be born into an "insane" world.  Yet, children don't see it that way.  When asked, they look forward to growing up to great joy (can't wait to be an adult).  Every generation thinks theirs is the best.  When we look back all we see is what we knew (meaning we can't see back to before we were born).  And we see everything "going downhill".  But so did your parents... as did your parent's parents... as did your parent's parent's parents (and so forth).
In the thousands of years we've been here, people don't change (overall).  Sure, we invent new things", but our actions remain the same.  We think we are better than others {hatred}.  We seek money, power and ambition - at all costs {wars, using other people as stairs/objects}.  We seek to dominate others (abusers).  We think we know more than those who came before us and any who may come after us (arrogance).  If we disagree with others, we seek to do them harm {murders}.  If others have what we want - money, land, possessions, men/women - we forcefully take it from them {theft, adultery}.

No, being born in a certain era isn't disgusting.   The real disgusting "thing" are the uncaring people who hurt others (physically and/or emotionally) in their unending (futile) quest for dominance.

Even in my denigrated let's say state of so petty self harm and abject agony. Everybody suffers that's a fact no generations any better than next The Young ones treat the older ones in the same manner disregarding the fact that the young can't conceive being older. Softly speaking tape from the mouth of a war veteran from Vietnam seen most shocking things to the normal human nervous system that created the song war what is it good for absolutely nothing yet men create war it has been since the beginning of time when conflict began with the cavemen. Conflict is imbued in human existence down to the wire nobody really ever gets along except for common consensus into familiarity and the warring out out looks between man and woman are distinct and you have to agree to disagree to enjoy that challenges progress does indeed kill people but that's the price of living. You can't go through enough anyway you put it. Thanks Shuhak! This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at March 14, 2026 10:59 AM MDT
