When I was stationed in Bremerton, WA, a group of us went camping along the Dosewallips river in the Olympic Mountains. The river is narrow where we camped. The water was rushing by at an extremely fast rate. Anyone aughtt in it would surely perish.

I think streams are psychotic.  Just look at them - They lie in bed all day and babble incoherently.  One moment they're calm, then in a flash they become quite rough, taking out their frustrations on the nearest bank.  If you hang around them long enough you'll find that some can be rather deep and reflecting, while others are quite shallow (but both can be a bit fishy).

I was in a canoe on a stream in upper Michigan; I dropped my sunglasses and was going in to retrieve them but was stopped by the speed at which we were going.

Was in a boat on the American river (more than a stream), there was a sign at the entry point that stated the water was traveling at, I forget the exact number, perhaps 5,000 cubic feet per something. The number meant nothing to myself or my sister so we decided to forge ahead.  I was the last one in and barely made it.  The water grabbed the boat and set us off on a wild ride.  The water level was high and moving very fast.  We made the 4-6 hour ride in 2 hours.  Yes, it was eventful, lol.

Was swimming in a stream/river in upper California, perhaps Santa Rosa.  There were eels in the water and apparently during this time of year they die for some reason.  One very dead one which had degraded, caught on my ankle and sort of wrapped around it.  Totally freaked me out, didn't know what it was at first, it could have been a swamp monster out for blood. (it could happen).

I heard a song by Taylor Swift on radio and sort of liked it -- "Wild Streams."

I told someone and she laughed, "The song is 'Wildest Dreams.'"
