RBT. I don't drink and drive, so I was fine.

RBT?  That is good you don't drink and drive. I don't either.

Random Breath Test. They do that here for safety reasons. But they don't drag drivers out of cars and brutalize them.

It was about 25 years ago.  I had been to a small gathering\cookout about a mile from home.  When I drove home around 1 AM I was stopped to be asked if I was OK and did I need any help.  I told him I was fine and bid him farewell.  No ticket.  This did happen in my little suburban city; I heard of it several times.  Even though I don't drink at all and I habitually do not speed or roll through stop signs, I still hate that feeling you get when the blue light turns on behind you.

This question made me realize that I've been playing with you guys for 17 years.  I'm still just shaking my head.

guess that is good to make sure you are safe.

It is crazy x 1000.  I have not been successful in slowing the passing of time.  ;)

Over 20 years ago.  It was for "allegedly" drunk driving.  It was just before 2 am and I was headed for work (2-11 shift), dressed in full uniform.  Since I was the only car on the freeway for miles, I got into fast lane to avoid a large section of deep potholes.  Although I was doing 55 in  a 55 zone, I failed to use my turn signal (like who does that on an empty freeway at 2am?).  A police car came on at the freeway entrance at the bottom of the hill and immediately gunned it to catch me (I was already at ten top of the hill).  I was at the intersection when they turned on their lights.  Since there was no shoulder or place to pull off at that area, I slowly proceeded to the nearest safest place to pull over.  The cops considered that "fleeing" and called for backup (and may I point out that never once did ANY of them use their turn signal).  Of course I was 100% sober (I've never drank in my life), and was profusely apologized to.

About 12 years ago...I got a ticket for 'wreckless' driving for going over the center line twice. This post was edited by Element 99 at April 11, 2026 11:48 AM MDT

At least that is long enough,  it is not on your record anymore.
