I like that Obama pardoned dozens unjustly serving time in Federal prisons. Why did no other president before him do that?

    Obama pardoned non-violent drug offenders who had served most of their sentence as part of his overall reform policy. He wasn't big on our existing drug laws... it's in accordance with the times and beliefs of the general population nowadays. Until recently, Americans were still beating the "War on Drugs" drum. Now, we want rehabilitation, not punishment, in most cases. 

    "Unjustly," I guess, is open to interpretation. These people broke our laws and were sentenced accordingly. I suppose you may disagree with the laws that landed them in prison, but that doesn't mean they were sentenced or imprisoned unjustly.

    In many cases the sentences were unjust not saying they were not guilty. The Righteous have a duty to disobey unjust law. I did not say unjustly convicted. This post was edited by O-uknow at November 13, 2016 2:55 PM MST

    All of the Presidents have issued pardons except two who where not in office very long...one month and the other six months.
