TRUMPETER SWAN. "A large, pure white, wild swan having a sonorous cry. Once near extinction,the species is now recovering. ALT RIGHT WHITES?

Thanks to PET his election has single-handedly brought the ALT RIGHT WHITES and their ilk back from the edge of extinction.  They were an endangered species once upon a time and worked mostly underground, under  rocks, wearing sheets. They were vilified/reviled/despised/rejected/ridiculed. But their white hero  PET came charging in on a white steed and brought them back to life just before the death rattle began. Made them relevant, powerful, important. They will forever be in his debt. They will be running things side-by-side with their rescuer. Probably forever. I hear they breed like rabbits.  They don't believe in birth control you see. Let the good times roll!

  • You really need to do some research. Although some of the topics you mention they are concerned about, but not in the way you mention. If you view them as such a big enemy, at least learn about them.

  • It seems the real Alt-Right movement is very small. By "real", I mean more than just normal Conservatives. It seems to be a few people on YouTube and a few websites with very few subscribers. They don't even agree among themselves. It's more like a banner for what is viewed as extreme ideas. However, the main theme they seem to discuss is race and "identity". They claim to reject the KKK and Neo-Nazis. Many also claim to hate global capitalism, but hate Communism equally. They also don't like conservatives because they're not conservative enough and only care about monetary issues.

    Like many "movements" they are filled with contradictions. They support Trump, but hate global capitalism? That makes little sense.

    Their favorite argument seems to be if Israel gets to have an ethnostate, why can't other races, most notably whites?

    Alt-righters acknowledge they are racists, but claim all races are racist because they want to preserve themselves and their culture.

    They don't "breed like rabbits", but are concerned with birth rates.

    My main problem with the question, is I don't think Alt-Right got Trump elected. Some Millenial in Hillary's campaign found the sites and spent time on 4-Chan. They called it out so people would google the term "alt-right" and be horrified by what they found. It is no different than Conservatives yelling "Communism" every time someone supports social programs.

    Trump didn't bring them back, they already existed. Extremes on both sides will always exist. Now extremes on both sides will battle on YouTube and Twitter.

    Rosie, I know the subject is too serious a matter... But, this made smile... Your irony is outstanding. Bravo. Who is in debt to who will be an open question.     "Trumpeter goose" kept floating about my brain. I looked it up and there is no such thing but there was a Trumpeter Swan. I had no idea what I was going to find SH but the fit astonished me as well as the irony. Thank you for reading this question and responding to it and also for your kind words.
