Does RACISM and SEXISM reside completely in the eye of the beholder? If you don't behold it then it simply doesn't exist for you?

If that is true then some people truly believe there is no such thing as racism or sexism. If they can't/don't see it how can it exist for them? Maybe they are NOT liars. Maybe they're simply missing some parts.

    I think most people can recognize it, but for many of us, it just doesn't exist to the extent that some people claim.

    Some people lack empathy..  Consequently, they have NO idea HOW they are perceived by their peers.  Given the above, they don't think ANY of their ideas are out of the mainstream.
