In two years, 10 (D) Senators will come up for re-election in states Trump won. Will they stand WITH the Dems, or curry favor with Trump?

Hello:

If the Senate Democrats UNITE, a filibuster will STOP Trump in his tracks.  If they COWER, Trump will have his way with us..

    I suspect they will publicly stand with the Dems but behind the doors go with Trump.
    Reelection is the only thing that matters not principles.

    I think I added stuff after you answered...  They CAN'T hide if they filibuster, and a filibuster is the ONLY bulwark between America as we know it, and Trumplandia..

    I see that you have.
    Still filibuster works two ways. With the Repubs in charge any bill advanced by the Dems would never come up for vote. So if the Dems want something they will have to appease the Repubs.

    That is how we ended up with Obamacare shoved up our A$$.

    What do they stand to win and what do they stand to lose and do they know themselves?

    In 2 years anything can happen.  In 2 years Trump may prove to be so godawful (shocking?) that they may finally take a stand.

    I doubt it.  I have lost any faith in either party and their ability to lead anything at all.  It is all about survival once you get in Congress.  We know Trump is wheeling and dealing as we speak.  He is great at finding people's weak spots and I am sure he will hone in on those 10.
