Now, nothing.  We got screwed big time.

What else is new? Business as usual, folks.  Nothing left to see here.  Grousing does little.  We let Bush stay, we will let this cracker-ass cracker run riot like a child for 4 more years.

America is only as powerful as its weakest link and our weakest link is ruling the Nation.

    It not okay.  Okay?

Maybe YOUR weakest link.  That still makes your chain very weak indeed.  What is holding it together?  The Tea Party?

They don't know their asses from holes in the ground.  They think Sara Palin is a smart cookie. They elected a moron for president and don't know it.

    Ignorance is bliss.  Lucky you.

This is NOT my president.  The only positive outcome of this will be that he will mess things up so badly that we WILL finally take a stand and ensure a pig cannot walk into the most important house in the country and turn it into his personal sty.

That is the CHANGE I long for.

The sun is hot.  Any more platitudinous rhetoric you care to share?

Just one. Nothing you say or do will change the fact that someone you didn't like won the Presidency.
    Welcome to 2008.

I never said that it did.  What is your point.

If this is your comeback, obviously you lost the point a long time ago.

Well, every 4 years someone feels like this. I suggest you make the best of it because, just as all those before you, you can scream and cry till your lungs give out; the duly elected person is still in the position you didn't want them to be in.

Now, the silver lining. Just as angry and upset as you are, there are others who are incredibly happy, filled with hope and optimism for the future.

In 4 (or 8) years, you can do it all over again.

Geez Crow is that supposed to fill me with joy? We get to do this all over again? Are you aware that as of yesterday, November 18, Hillary is ahead in popular votes by a margin of 1,439,123? They are still counting. She has so far received 63,049,607 POPULAR VOTES and PET has so far received 61,610,484. The margin keeps growing Obama won the POPULAR VOTE in 2008 and 2012 as well as in the Electoral College. No dispute. No bullsh** malarkey. PET is a loser.  So while I understand your point the current situation is not remotely comparable. Of the 5 prez candidates who LOST the popular vote and became prez anyway , 4 of them are Republican. The first one was John Quincy Adams and he belonged to the Democratic-Republican party. Andrew Jackson won the POPULAR vote that year ( 1824) and after the loss Jackson and his supporters created the Democratic Party. So you see your point  while valid on its own has nothing to do with my point.  Thank you for your reply. I gather you are a PET supporter which means you are anti-Obama. You should be joyful if that is what you are. Different strokes. Happy Saturday.

I'd rather rely on the electoral college than a hanging chad.

Have you never been mellow? Have you never tried to find a comfort from inside you?
Sometimes I worry for you, Rosie. Unless venting on here is your way of mellowing out, we all have our own special ways.

"Don't worry for me Argentina" (A song title). "Have you ever been mellow?"  (Another song title). They popped in my head when I read your reply and as usual they popped out so I can share them with you. "Have you ever been blue?" That follows "have you ever been mellow?" I appreciate what you are attempting to get across to me Patch. I do. Here's the deal. I am 79 years old. I say what I think unedited. What have I got to lose by doing that? I alienate some people. I attract some people. Either way I 'm okay with it. I say what I think and I welcome any flak that comes with it. I also welcome any and all CIVIL discussion. I ignore those who are  rude/insulting/vulgar completely. That is a small price to pay for being honest and vocal. I am terrified of the PET phenomenal nightmare and I see nothing but great tragedy ahead for everyone except other racists like him and the wealthy, also like him. If you're wealthy and white and support him you have nothing to worry about. If you aren't you have everything to worry about.. His administration will be loaded with loyalists..racists..ALT RIGHT WHITE nationalists. He will do whatever he can for his wealthy cronies. He will bring in his children as he can. You may see goodness in the man. I see only evil.  It is my duty to speak out about this horrible calamity our country is facing. You clearly do not agree with me. That is your right. It is my right to say what I think about it. As a citizen I always vote. As a very worried citizen I cannot remain silent. If I did I would be condoning the evil that PET represents. I have no choice but to speak up. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :).
