No, I'm not angry. He won the same way every other president has. They were competing for the electoral vote and she lost. Maybe she and other Democrats will learn from this in the future. Does that at least make you feel a little bit better, Rosie?

No sweetie it does not. Here's why. We already went through this abomination in 2000. Al Gore won over 500,000 more popular votes than  Bush.  Bush was elected prez and he gave us the Iraq war. Would we have gone to war if Gore had been prez? I have no idea. We can't know that. I suspect not but I don't know. No one does., As of Friday, Hililary's POPULAR vote is  1,439,123 MORE than Trump's. They are still counting. I expect it will continue to grow larger. As of yesterday Hillary has received 63,049,607 votes to Donald's 61,610,484.  If it were the other way around  don't you think Republicans would be screaming too? In fact I'm gonna ask a question about that. Thank you for your Patch! :)

    Hi Rosie:

Hasn't the counting been completed yet? But what's the point of getting angrier? You're only harming yourself.

No m'dear. THEY ARE STILL COUNTING! 11 days later and they still haven't counted all the votes. Why that is I have no idea.  I'm not harming myself. I am venting. You know like the pressure cooker that builds up steam? If the vent clogs up and doesn't move the pressure cooker explodes. I'm not gonna explode. I'm gonna keep venting. But thanks for your concern Stu. Seriously. I appreciate it. Thank you for your reply! :)

He won't officially be elected until the Electoral College meets in December. What's being counted now probably are overseas and absentee ballots.

  • Have you considered channeling some of you anger and energy into finding out how/if the system could be changed and how you could help change it? Here's a petition you could sign for a start:  http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/abolish-the-electoral-6 This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at July 31, 2018 1:15 PM MDT

  • If Hillary won the election by Electoral votes instead of popular votes Democrats/libs/etc would be praising the system saying it "worked" and protected the minority from the majority.
