    Somewhere in my Mom's pile of stuff she won't throw away is 8mm film of me splashing around (and falling over) in a bathtub. I was about 4 years old at the time.

    About 5 at the most I think, probably younger. Fell off harbour wall. Our Mam always reckoned I swam out instinctively (Luckily I'd fallen off a flight of steps so didn't have far to go) but more likely it was just about shallow enough for me to wade. 

     Made me wary of water that's certainly taller than me ever since. Tried swimming lessons a few years ago but I don't float (unusual but not ever so rare) so that failed. Made me more wary of water taller than me.
