What skills would one need to take over your job? (Be specific.)

Like "strong hands", if you are a mechanic. Incredible patience, if you are a psychologist. Fond of food, if you are a chef. Organizational skills, if you are an office manager. Or no particular skills, if you rich because your parents left you a fortune and you don't need to work.

I work in compliance... analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are important.

I'm retired now, but my job required me to sit for long periods of time. Come to think of it, that's a helpful skill in retirement as well.

Young lady, you need to exercise.  Stretch and walk a little each day.   No sitting for long periods without a stretch break often.

It can really cause problems and be painful if you do not heed my call!!!!!!!!!!!

They would have to learn how to operate a TV remote and a computer. For my part time job they need to know how to clean toilets, sinks and shine mirrors. They would also have to learn how to use a mop and vacuum cleaner.

As a semi retired farmer you have to know how to operate a tractor, combine, and a lot of equipment. Most of it would be on the job training from an experienced operator too.

I'm a residential grounds keeper and to do my job all you need is a green thumb and basic algebra skills. I used to be one of those kids that asked the teacher what will I ever use algebra for. And now I know I use it all the time to figure out things like how much bark mulch I will need to cover an area. Not sure if this is a skill but to do my job you also have to be able to take a golf ball to the head - I work around a golf corse and I've been hit with a lot of golf balls. Cheers!

I manufacture and retail products, they are heavy also.
I paint, sale, and do my own bookkeeping.

So have strength, be creative, good with people, and good with numbers. This post was edited by my2cents at November 28, 2016 7:38 PM MST
