Russia is moving short range missiles to its western borders. Given Trumps newfound friendship with Putin which side would Trump choose?

Trump was elected President, not King.

He had best do what is in the best interest of the American people and I think efforts to keep as much peace as possible is  in our best interest.

We have become the world police since last century and as much as it stinks to be in the middle of seemingly every conflict, as England was prior to us... I suppose it beats the alternative of having Russia or China policing the world. We need peace with Russia but it cannot be at the expense of causing more enemies or allowing them to take over.

Surely after following the cold war when the U.S.S.R. fell apart, they realized they cannot take over Europe if they cannot even keep their own country together.

 I don't follow current news a lot for a variety of reasons but I surely don't know what Russia would expect to gain from attacking any European Country. They are quite aware how devastating a war could be with the technology they and the rest of the developed, and developing countries have.

President Trump will not be one to stand back and let anything happen, I don't think. We shall see how much the world leaders, including the ones that have been pulling the strings of the rest of the presidents for the last few decades, can manipulate President Trump.

I am hoping most Americans start loving America again, whether they agree with our presidential choice or not. We need a strong and United country in this time period maybe more than ever but with over 300 million people, I suppose unison is hard to achieve. There are just so many different ideas floating around. We used to mostly be united by a belief in God, most of the founders of the nation were theists and the protestant movement flourished here, away from the reign of Catholicism, but even when the Catholics and other religions moved in, we were One Nation Under God...We need something to Unite us again. What is it that the majority of 300 million people might agree with in today's society?

  Donald Trump is obviously not the answer, we can't all rally around a Trump or a Clinton or any politician for that matter and expect to be United. We have people blaming the founders of the nation, slavery and all sorts of historical events that we cannot change for today's problems. I hope as American's we find the common ground, realizing we are all Americans and we do have foreign powers as you have mentioned to deal with and that as a nation we need to stand United.

I can only imagine the thrill our foreign enemies get from all the attention the reporters give the domestic terrorists in this country that are in the streets stomping and setting fire to the American flag and burning down their towns.
