jump into the lake from the top of chimney rock.....................whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That reminds me............where's our surfin guy friend?
Gosh yes. Back then I didn't have the height trouble I do now, but it was very high, over 30 feet anyway, I'm not good at estimating height. When my daughter was about 10 or 11 we were at the lake and rode up that way and she wanted to go up. I wouldn't let her go alone but it took every bit of courage I could muster to swim to shore and climb up there with her. When we got up there she wouldn't jump. And there is no way down because of how steep it is. I practically had to throw her and jump behind her. As soon as we swam back to the boat she decided she wanted to go again. I talked my brother into going with her. After that she went alone. Adults are miracles.
Everyone who went to Auburn University has probably jumped off Chimney Rock. It's not too far from campus.

What a nice story Thrifty. And I commend you, I have to admit that water is not my preferred medium. And jumping into it from that high up? That is completely out of the question. I actually went looking for a picture of Chimney Rock, but there were actually quite a few of them. So the picture is perfect. Thanks T
I'm glad you don't do that anymore WW, many years get lost and wrongly used while busy not liking ourselves. Like your gif says, you can't run from what's inside you, and for many of us not liking is what's inside. You're a very strong and lucky guy to have been able to get out from under the shoe of self un acceptance. I wasn't ignoring your response, I was just had to think about it for a little .
I don't think you want to know. They are of an embarrassing nature and I don't want you laughing at me )
