Good for you NB! I don't  know if you have noticed this but manufacturer's are beginning to leave out all the crap! No food dyes any more. They dye stuff using beet juice or carrot juice. No hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils either. No preservative even! We can now get bacon/hot dogs/lunch meat/salami  FREE OF nitrates and nitrites! That is T_rrific! Thank you for your reply NB and Happy Thanksgiving Thursday to thee and thine! :)

I guess the box of cereal I once bought had a little extra ingredient in it ---------  iron!  (there was a large shipping staple in it)

Yes I sent the staple back to the cereal maker and complained. I was hoping to get a free box of cereal back, but never heard anything. Those bastards!

I've been doing that since I was very young.  But it is only out of curiosity.  I eat a lot of stuff I know I shouldn't.  But I eat way more healthier than most people on average so I don't obsess.  If I had some disease that caused me to be ultra careful, I certainly would.

We should probably worry more about what we don't see in food.
