Florence Henderson died on Thanksgiving Day at 82. How well do you remember "The Brady Bunch"?

It ran from 1969 to 1974. Was it just me, or was anyone else amazed that nine people apparently lived together in a house with one bathroom? And that the whole family lived comfortably with Mike the architect as the sole wage earner? And nobody questioned why the three girls automatically changed their last names to Brady?

Another fun fact: Did you know that Robert Reed, the actor who play Mike Brady, was gay but kept it private, fearing it would damage his career? When he died of colon cancer at 59 in 1992, details from his death certificate were made public revealing that he was HIV positive. His doctor listed that on the death certificate as "a significant condition that contributed to death."

I remember it well, but I never watched it.  My daughter did.  She loved it.  I think it was because she did not have the traditional family structure like I did.  She liked the idea a lot more than I ever did.  Shows like this gave her a window into that life, I think. I remember it but was not ever until now an avid TV watcher.  I was 30 before I lived in a house with more than one bathroom and have had three in my home ever since, except for the few years I was in an apartment.   It's easy to get spoiled.
