For me, I sometimes enjoy not knowing what's going on or to know exactly what something means.
Parts of this I enjoyed. Parts were sort of uncomfortable to watch. Of the two choices you offered, maybe it's both (which is probably impossible)? I don't really know but I'm glad I watched, so ,for me, that's a "plus" I guess! :)

Interesting ... Like the old Zen koan of what is the sound of one hand clapping, I think we ptobsbly bring our own interpretation to it ... Which is probably different from the author's ...
I honestly don't know .. the author obviously thinks not ... The company and the sponsors obviously thought not ... Who gets to judge?. The lowest common denominator?
We are only seeing a small (selected) part of the show. It may be a valid comment on disabilities, or it may just be fluff. To decide/know which, I would need to see the entire show.
It's highly unusual because it is contemporary dance. This is a ballet company in the Sadler's Welles Theatre in London. In order to understand it, you have to find out what the performance is about. It is expressive though.
