I often think the reason they spend so much time walking and looking into their phones is that the phone says, "Put left foot forward, now right, now left ..."
pIt used to be just the kids, but now I see adults and even some older people doing the same things. They are so unaware of their surroundings. This morning, while waiting for a light to change so I could cross the street, a kid heading to the high school had his earplugs in, was looking at something on the phone screen and walked right into me. He didn't even look up - he just walked around me! I wanted to throw the phone on the ground and stomp on it.
