Actually there were no job losses at the Cartier plant ... The plan was to move 1200 jobs making product X to another plant... The first plant was going to produce product Y using the existing workers
Looking over the news of Boeing layoffs for the past year, it would seem the company is doing a significant amount of restructuring and its layoffs have little or nothing to do with Der Pumpkinfuhrer.
Of course, one can argue Trump ***SHOULD*** have interceded on behalf of Boeing employees to preserve their jobs, as he (allegedly) did with Carrier Corp. But that's crony capitalism for you. Some entities are picked as "winners" and others are ignored as "losers," regardless of the economic merits.
