Has Alison Jackson gone too far?

I've never had a kind word for Donald Trump and don't intend to start now, but Jackson's new book of spoof photographs showing a Trump look-alike in compromising photographs is scurrilous, even by American political standards. Is it possible that she has unwittingly given him an escape hatch, allowing him to claim that his other aberrations were also manufactured?

  • HI Didge :)
I think you already know I loathe Trump , but yeah.  I think she went to far annnnnd  why bother ? He makes an azz of himself on the daily. No need to post fake photos to make him look a fool.

  • One of the problems, of course, is that if people post phony pics of him he will start to claim that all his aberrations were made up by his enemies. If we leave him alone he'll self-destruct within months.

No, I think Der Pumpkinfuhrer needs to get it just as hard and mean as the Nig...er, Nazi Kenyan Marxist Socialist Indonesian Communist Terrorist Muslim who preceded Pumpkinhead got if from the Right Wing Authoritarian F***tards who weren't happy about his election.

Those who don't like it can apologize for how President Obama was treated or STFU!

  • I'm not in the US but I can't remember any president being subjected to the hate that was thrown at Obama. If he was less effective than he might have hoped, much of that seems to have been at the hands of a hostile Congress. I liked the guy.

@Didge -- Just to be clear, the phrase "Nazi Kenyan Marxist Socialist Indonesian Communist Terrorist Muslim" is meant to lampoon many of Obama's critics, who called him all of those things, sometimes singly, sometimes in combination (even if the combinations were contradictory).

Given how Obama actually governed (not significantly differently from his predecessor), one must conclude those criticisms came from something other than policy differences. The most obvious explanation, as illustrated by the photos in the link in my previous answer, is racism.

  • Sorry if I gave the impression that I thought you were critical of President Obama yourself. I knew what you meant and took your point. The GOP gave the world Reagan and Dubya, but this is a president nobody could have seen coming. Nobody took him seriously and then, one day, there he was. I'm not sure what it says about the people who voted for him.
