I read answers to a question on here about emotional and physical abuse. ApPARENTly quite a few muggers had abusive parents. Did you? Did you have the opposite experience?
Couldn't be happier. My parents were the complete opposite of abusive. Supportive, intelligent, and largely responsible for who I am today. I'm very glad that I still have a great relationship with both of my parents.
I wouldn't say abusive, no, but my dad had a temper, and spanked/whacked us. (when we needed it) We all turned out normally, though. :) Yes, happy with my parents. Love them dearly.

They are pretty cool. I regret nothing. Well, I regret a lot of things, but it's got nothing to do with them.

Thanks Livvie. I have one daughter that seems to look and warm up to me more than the others. I really appreciate that and I'm sure your dad feels the same way.

I always feel good when I hear that some people are happy with their parents. My father was very successful in part because he divorced my alcoholic mother when I was one. She died in an (probably) alcohol-related car accident when I was 15. I, for one, would have chosen different parents.
