oh ...I know what happened ... Someone on here called me a" loser" for liking buzzfeed and I had a "Carrie" moment and shut the site down with my mind.Or was a glitch.
I'm only visiting back and forth tonight, so I wasn't active in the last hour, but I'm guessing I know what you're referring to. We have a fun little glitch that hits us every saturday night. It kicks everyone off and clears notifications. I blame all the people who griped about not being able to clear notifications... see what happens when you complain?
I'm just kidding about the last part. It must be tied to some kind of internal process the system does weekly. I'd even go so far as to venture to guess that it has to do with an intentional memory dump or backup. But, I'm no developer and the dev hasn't figured out what's happening yet. I didn't even realize it was for sure weekly until last week. I will kick the developer or see if I can bribe him with beer in exchange for a fix.
I have never, will never complain about that. However, since we're on the subject.... is there any possible way that you can re-install that auto recovery deal on the message feed? Since the re-boot, I've accidentally deleted messages on several occasions, and really miss that.
As for the second paragraph, I have no idea what you're talking about. Try the beer, though. Alcohol always works! :)
I miss that too. It's not a matter of reinstalling it, though. I wish it was. This is a totally new system that doesn't have it, so it would have to be coded from scratch, supposing it could be done. I can add it to our wish list.
Thanks a whole lot, Czarina. I was in the middle of typing out a new poll, including my signature/trademark voluminous list of choices, when your wizardry took place and I got kicked off of the grid. I had to retype the ENTIRE thing, I'll have you know. Harumpf!
I'll send you the bill for my squandered services.
The only thing I hate about this website is the abundance of political questions hating on the current political situation. Seriously, how can anyone be that hateful? Wouldn't it be better to try and unify people instead of tearing down the ones who voted opposite of the asker? Those questions have kept me away for a while.
I believe the point is that even with others posting questions on topics that are not political, the ire-ridden anti-Trump tirades overshadow them by sheer volume. Suggesting that someone post his or her own questions doesn't fully address that issue. One man's opinion.
