Not so much on what types dry best. Most do well that I tried. Except melons. Melons don't work so good. The best advice I can say is watch what fruits you dry together. Some fruits will add some smell and flavor to the others if dried together. Bananas are a perfect example. If you dry banana slices with say grapes. Your raisins will come out with a faint banana scent and taste.
My rule of thumb is if the fruit has a smell that puts a slight taste in the air, then dry it alone. Bananas, peaches, those kinds of things.
