PET is very secretive about some things. His taxes for one. Yet he is feuding PUBLICLY with the Intelligence Community. WHY?

Why let everyone  in on that dirty linen? Why not handle any differences quietly behind closed doors instead of having a public free-for-all in front of the world? Does PET get points for doing that? From whom and WHY?
