So, I will state again, for like the 500th time, I am not going to put a rule that says people have to post politics in a special room.
And, I will also clarify the purpose of the debate room. It was actually created because people complained that the site was too silly and they had to look too hard to find serious questions. So, I gave those people their own special place to have serious discussions, so they wouldn't have to wade through "What's your favorite color" questions in order to have a discussion.
Now, people are experiencing the opposite problem. The site has become very serious. Again, further proof that what I keep saying about members dictating the tone of the site is true. You guys are in control of the tone of the feed and the site. You don't like it- get posting. When enough people do this, we'll be right back at people griping about how the site is too silly.
The groups are designed to host special-interest discussions, for people who don't want to see other things, or only want to know about one thing. The main Q&A is for everything. Politics fits into the everything category. For fricks sakes. Bah. Ya'll need to stop this nonsense or I'm throwing the whole Internet at you.
Go forth and fill the Q&A up with anything you like, provided it fits within the TOS.
