Everybody knows the moon's made of cheese, no?

Fahrenheit... inches and feet... driving in the left side... what else makes no sense?

  • Driving on the left is stupid.   Most people are right handed by a large margin and having the dominate  hand manipulate the shifter just makes more sense by leaps and bounds.

It's an archaic hold over from the days of the horse when you wanted to pass people with your fighting hand just in case.

Aren't you guys driving automatic anyway? Leave the clutch and manual shift for us pros. Lolz. Btw. I'm a leftie.

  • It's more common than manual in North America yes.

It kinda sucks because the option isn't even available in many vehicles here anymore.  I personally prefer manual since it gives better performance and control, automatics don't always pick the best gear, they are cheaper, and they are easier to repair and maintain.

They are cheaper? They are way more expensive here. Lol. Someone is pulling someone here... hmm... car and real estate sales people are just not reliable.

  • Typically manuals were cheaper than automatics.   More parts in an automatic and the need for a torque converter.

Oh, you meant manuals are cheaper? They are definitely here. And yes, also more fun driving... with... ahem... a stick... ;-)

    Dating!

Dating is something else that makes no sense!

Today could be 15/12/2016 or it could be 12/15/2016.

It's a lot less confusing when the day is >12

12/12/1212 was the day! How about the Chinese new year and ours, or the year in the Arabic calendar compared to ours? And so on. Dates are interesting. Lol. Thought you were talking about another kind of dating first. My socks are still wet. Ahem. ;-)

Yes Miss. Some of the clothes are rather sticky. Ahem. But socks could always stay on. I count on you to take care of me if I get a cold because of them, right? *Blushes*

I don't want you to get a cold so you can just take them off before that happens.  I'll have to keep them though.

  • Month/day/year makes more sense in English speaking countries.  It's December 15th 2016.  It makes more sense to organize it according to how it is most commonly phrased IMHO.

  • Time. I posted this at 4:15 PM CT, or 16:15 CT, and a bunch of people here are much later, some are earlier and still others are tomorrow. Let's just make it all one big time zone!

I keep my smartphone in 24 hour notation so I don't set the alarm for the wrong one not that it makes a difference. I set my alarm for 4:30 but I always wake up at like 4:27, grrrr, I'm getting robbed of that extra sleep.

When I go to work the time is always in 24 hour notation so I'm used to it. This post was edited by Livvie at December 16, 2016 12:26 PM MST

Again, it's not the political section, Sharonna. We try to live up the place with other stuff than PET and TRUMP so you don't have to listen to us complain about the share the political question make it on the main question board. Besides, technically he I see not the president yet. Electoral College hasn't voted yet (12/19/2016) and Obama is still in the office until 01/20/2017.
