Yahoo said more than a billion users had their data stolen all the way back to 2013. What data would that be? Are you worried?

How would that affect you? I check out yahoo news on occasion but I do nothing online. I don't have any financial data there nor do I order anything online using credit cards. Do you have to join Yahoo and provide personal data? I'm not clear about why so much personal information would be required if all you do is visit the site from time to time. They have none of mine. What do they have of yours?

I'm not worried; like you, I'm not part of the yahoo universe.

From what I read the extent of the personal information that was hacked is vast. Credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords! Thank you for your reply RandyD and Happy Monday to thee.

  • it didn't effect me at all considering that my primary email is with a different provider. but it would effect me big time if it were to happen to my primary email provider. i mainly use yahoo for yahoo answers and nothing more..  This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at January 6, 2017 12:21 AM MST
