    I got one fork, one spoon and a paring knife just stainless steel flatware -all i've needed for the last 20 years or so.

    That is really strange to me, kitti.  I guess you don't have dinner company.  Ever.   But, if it works for you.  There is beauty in simple lifestyle. :)

    I left my very very old sterling in my house for my daughter.  I also had a set of silver plate flatware that I left for her.  When I married my husband and I returned a ton of duplicate gifts and bought four 12-place settings of my favorite 18/10 stainless steel flatware.  I have used it my whole adult life and still have lots of brand new pieces still wrapped individually and in the original boxes.  I keep 14 of everything in my kitchen drawer.  It is worth buying high qualify flatware.

    Yes, I like it.  Even after all these years.  Sounds like a song.
