Putin brags "we can say with certainty we are stronger now than any potential aggressor." Will JJ ignore that without a tweet attack back?
Juggernaut Johnny fka Doofus Donny surely won't take that silently. Will he? Doth he DARE criticize Putin for saying Russia is stronger than anyone else or does JJ agree that the American military is second-rate??
He will take it lying down... cos he is Putin's puppet.. Trump has way underestimated the danger of Russia and this could well be very dangerous for the States.
Being all butthurt about such things doesn't show strength. It shows weakness very very clearly. Any leader that would rise to something like that is a petulant child unworthy of their office.

And what if it isn't just boasting? Maybe Putin knows he's right... and I guess we would have just thought, given Trump's oft demonstrated childishness, my jet's bigger than your's that he would have responded... Perhaps he didn't know how to spell aggressor :P
It doesn't matter whether the boast is grounded in reality or not. There is nothing to be gained by responding. It comes over weak and insecure.
Trump's previous banter before and during his campaign is different. I didn't say it was wrong for an ordinary person to respond to such slights. I said it was wrong for a leader to lower themselves on the world stage. During a campaign "my jet's bigger than yours" is just banter between two individuals. For Trump to have such exchanges with Putin is undignified and undermines the relationship between the two countries.

Weak and insecure... aren't those Trump's middle names? He has responded in that way on just about everything else... one wonders specifically why he doesn't do so on this? Yes, if it were that he is now a leader, (or supposedly so!) and were trying to behave in a more dignified way... I could understand it - but we have seen him continue to behave childishly with tweets.. I guess old habits die hard eh?
