I'm working on menus. What meats are good for Christmas dinner?

We don't want turkey. I have ham, but am thinking I could have another meat. Maybe fish or something else. Can you give me some ideas?

  • Can't go wrong with roast beef.  People usually get excited about  prime rib if price isn't a big factor.

@Wade, I was thinking pigs in the blanket would be good.

Hey, if it was good enough for Charlie Brown, it ought to be good enough for you and your family....;-D...

Since Jesus is being celebrated and all things spiritual and non-violent, I would dispense with MEATS entirely.

@ChruchOfTrump, I've already bought the spiral ham. Am looking for a second meat or fish. Goose sounds good, too.

  • Bbq'd pork tenderloin, marinated in Greek marinade. Mmmm. Same marinade and ovened is nice, too.

Two great suggestions:  Roast beef (prime rib or tenderloin) or Goose.  I've had goose before and would love to try it again.  I was going to say leg of lamb.  I like that a lot too.  Fish is great if you live by the ocean and can buy it fresh.  Or how about shrimp and cocktail sauce as an appetizer?

Since you're definitely making pig, why not try a vegetarian option? Mushroom dishes are very hearty and delicious. Happy Holidays!
