Didn't Scrooge teach you anything???

"A Christmas Story", by Charles Dickens, a classic. I'm listening to this story on the radio, while I write.

  • He taught me that I shouldn't expect anything from Dickens except hyperbolic characters.

    I can see the appeal of Dickens, but I don't really share in it.  I much prefer George Eliot or even Shaw, but each to their own.

    And it is a very good read.  :)
