Discussion»Questions»Paranormal» Intervention? What do you mean, there's nothing wrong with ME! Wait, this is about the tildes, isn't it? Listen, I can explain . . . ~
I have used tildes in the past. I would think many people use them from time to time. What is your normal day like with a "tilde" and how do you feel about them?

Ah, the calm, soothing, non-confrontational, normalizing-premise led tactic of the trained therapist. I recognize it well.
Ok, Doc, I'll bite.
I have to use at least one tilde every day or I don't feel complete. Wait, I'm lying. What good does it do to diminish it? Fine, I'm up to several times a day by now, one or two just don't do anything any more. I hardly even notice the number, see? I mean, for me it's not "careful with the tildes, Randy" or "worry about what people will think, Randy". I've got to flash a tilde or I miss out on something! Don't look at me like that, there's nothing wrong with tildes, even you use them, you said so yourself! So I get some kind of high, some kind of rush from them, it's no big deal! Everyone does something to get through the day, I have just as much right as the next guy! This is discrimination, I want out of here, you can't hold me against my will, I'll sue all of you . . .
That's how it starts, Randy. First you use tildes and when that stops being enough you move on to semicolons. Before you know it, you're deep into exclamation points and that never turns out well. We're here to help you before it's too late.
