Maybe then my stupid computer will stop asking me to upgrade to POS Windows 10 that my POS computer probably can't handle anyway.

Pass. If it's so good they have to force you to take it, I'm not interested.

Microsoft claims that if you updated accidentally or not and want to go back to your old OS, there is a way.  Look around on their site if you upgraded and want to go back.

When I saw several people's Windows upgrade without their actual consent, I turned off all up dates and partitioned off almost all my hard drive for Linux.

I still have XP on a computer too and would prefer it actually to this 8.1 I use now.

No.  And I just had two more updates (which I deleted) that indicate they fix problems but if you look them up on the MS website, they are more marketing and tricky forces to Windows 10.

I hope people are checking every update.  I have deleted about five from the "optional" updates.  The first one that put that popup box that drove me nuts was actually send as an "important" update.  They have sent that one several times too.
