Discussion»Questions»Food and Drink» They don't call it "hunger" any more. They call it "food deprived". Millions of Americans are food deprived. Why don't we feed them?
I am feeling a bit food deprived right now. Haven't had breakfast yet. Maybe I can find an old turnip left out in my frozen garden? When I was a kid, father left the family destitute and moved in with another woman. My mother got foodstamps after a brief few days. We actually went without food for a few days. Once we got the stamps, we ate better than we ever had before. Mother managed to get enrolled into a secretarial college and soon after got a job. She was always employed until she retired. She got off the stamps as soon as she got the job.
((hugs)) That's just because I felt like it bh! Thank you for sharing your personal experience with food stamps. It is always so much better to have folks share what they have gone through than to simply have the usual suspects show up to attack, opine and harshly judge something about which they know absolutely nothing! Happy Tuesday m'dear! :)

Of course we can but is doing so in toto not profoundly dishonest - no different in principle (though profoundly different in effect) from applying the opposite view? Given that in dealing with the hungry we will inevitably deal in a variety of circumstances, what right does anyone have to judge without evidence? And how can anyone gain evidence on such a large number of people? More, who gets to make the moral rules surrounding such judgements, and by what right?
Ma babee just made me a couple of nice hot cinnamon rolls. He is soo sweet and thoughtful. : ) I asked for *suga and that is what he gave me. hahahaha : ) : )
I'm not sure how this response relates to my question. Perhaps you can connect it for me. Happy Tuesday MS.
