In the original version of the movie "Fun with Dick and Jane", a prosperity gospel preacher noted, "The meek shall inherit the earth...and that's just what they're gonna get: dirt."
The meek inherits nothing, only the feces dropped down from those above. If there's a passage that I would love to extricate from any book, it would be that one.

What kind of world would it take for the meek to be so honored/appreciated/celebrated Lago? Humble/modest doesn't cause much positive response these days. Bullyboys seem to be what the audience wants and that's what they gets when they votes for 'em. SIGH. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday! :)
You misunderstand me Rosie, I like meek, and I celebrate it. I value humility and Good form and good Manners, and tranquility and love and doing for others. And I try to be like that more everyday myself because it makes me feel good inside. But that's not the question.
You really had to answer with that? An egregious hateful political dig at someone whom you clearly hate. Please leave your hatred elsewhere. I don't want it polluting my question threads. Yours just did. So for that I shall not thank you. Really. This is the best you could do? Condolences to you.
Well Rosie, your question calls a group of people racist and authoritarian, as a veiled reference. You can't be too surprised when you get answers like that.
Absolultely! (Psalm 37:10, 11) Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. (Psalm 37:29) The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.
How meek is meek and who are they? There are meek people from all walks of life. So if everyone was kind, giving and loving, I don't see that as a bad thing.
