WHOA! Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary today, July 7th. 70 years with the same person! What do you think of that? Why?

If they've been happy for most of that time, all power to them.

If they've been miserable with each other for much of their marriage I can only sympathise.  Not empathise, thankfully.

That's amazing, Rosie. Almost as amazing as getting married on a Sunday. Never in my life have I met anyone who was married on a Sunday, at least 90% of the married people I know were married on Saturdays. Do couples who marry on a Sunday have a better chance to last together, or is there another secret to their success? Happy Thursday, Rosie!:)

 I think it is an amazing length of time to be with one person. I wonder how rare it is to be married that long? Thank you for your reply pearl! :)  It's better to remain unmarried then to marry the wrong person. Divorce is painful.
