Well for me that isn't a problem.. i don't mind other people's music and I would go further and say... that I actually, actively invite people to share music with me.. Some of my very favourite music has been gained that way.. I have a friend who is very into contemporary metal, he used to share with me and I have many favs from that :) I have a whole ton of music from my son and I absolutely love that... I have a friend in Canada, who i have met irl who sends me music that is phenomenal - SO many of the things she sends become favourites; most are wholly addictive.
For some reason I cannot cope with my daughter's taste in music.. i find it tinny and whiny. Much of it seems to be gleaned from normal pop music, speeded up - yuck!
Trying to embed a vid now. this was one my Canadian friend sent me. this will be my first :)

I agree. I hate movies, books, music and anything I that is forced on me by the masses. I hate gold jewelry, I hate blue jeans, I hate anything that people think is a trendy uniform.
Well i can identify with that.. i never, ever follow fashions; like when pine furniture was trendy, I refused to have any but it's ok now as it's not fashionable :P
I suppose I was thinking on a more personal level.. people who kindly share music with me - I try to maintain an open mind and listen and, as I say, often get to share their tastes :)
Especially todays garbage, they should use it to extract information from terrorists when captured, who can possibly listen to that for more than 3 minutes without going nuts? who the hell buys this crap?
